Ellansé is a collagen stimulating filler that provides immediate volumisation and long-term collagen stimulation. Ellansé is a safe treatment and is currently used in more than 60 countries worldwide. You will not need a skin test because it is bio-compatible, which means the product will be fully resorbed over time. Many of our clinic team have had Ellansé themselves - in fact we do not offer any treatment at our clinic that we have not had ourselves and we can explain the treatment to you with real experience.
A typical Ellansé treatment will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on the treatment areas, the amount of product being used, and the technique of the physician administering the treatments. We always offer a topical anesthetic cream to numb the skin and the product is gently injected for a comfortable treatment.
As with other injections there are common side-effects, itching and tenderness may occur around the injection site(s) and there may be localized redness with mild swelling and bruising. These symptoms tend to disappear relatively quickly.
The 'downtime' for an Ellansé treatment is minimal and you can go about your normal routine in most cases straight away. As with any injectable treatment, you may experience some localized swelling and/or bruising, but it usually goes away very quickly. You will be given an aftercare form to take away and if you have any concerns after the treatment, we are here for you with an out-of-hours answering service for the "just in case" questions.
