We often forget about these areas, but in fact they are constantly on show and apart from our face, they can really exhibit the most visible
signs of skin ageing.
The skin of these areas is generally thinner than on the face and therefore care must be taken with choice of products and treatments to ensure the
best results.
Prevention of sun damage and premature skin ageing of these areas is very important, but is often forgotten about and adequate sun protection is
an essential part of any after care programme post-treatment.
The décolleté (upper chest) area in ladies is particularly prone to sun damage and is often inadequately protected by many people.
Signs of sun damage can then begin to become visible as soon as the late twenties or early thirties.
Many of our skin treatments can be used on the hands, neck and décolleté to improve the skin and replace lost volume and moisture,
thereby improving these visible signs of ageing.
These are often used to revitalise the skin in a general way as they improve the texture, firmness and elasticity of the skin and help to reduce abnormal pigmentation such as sun-spots (age spots / liver spots).
Treatment using an injectable hydrating solution is very effective at revitalising the skin on these areas and is a very popular treatment
with many of our clients. It infuses the dermal layer of the skin with a potent cocktail of vitamins and anti-oxidants to revitalise the treated area.
It is particularly effective for improving thin, dry 'crêpey' skin and restoring lost volume. After effective course of mesotherapy treatment,
the skin will be plump, firm and smooth again and will look many years younger.
Active Skin Care products are also effective for revitalising the skin on these areas. They can be used at home and are sometimes suitable as a
primary treatment for the problem. In addition, they should certainly be used long-term to maintain the results after any other treatments
As the medical revitalisation of the hands, neck and décolleté areas can be rather complex, sometimes with many different treatment
choices and decisions to be made, we recommend that you book a consultation prior to deciding on any treatment.
We can then best advise you which treatment options will be suitable for your particular problem and we can advise you in detail about the results
that you should expect to achieve.
