A non-surgical rhinoplasty, sometimes otherwise known as an injectable nose correction treatment (or non surgical nose job) is a quick, effective and cheaper alternative to traditional surgical rhinoplasty. Some people are put off by the potential problems of undergoing rhinoplasty surgery, the downtime and the possibility of unfavourable results after the procedure is complete, not to mention the cost of the surgery itself.
The nose correction treatment is carried out using injectable dermal fillers and does not involve any surgery. This gentle treatment is an affordable alternative to surgery, though not as permanent, for people who want the nose reshaping benefits of a rhinoplasty but quickly and safely.
The 2 examples shown are examples of how a nose can be straightened or the tip slightly lifted with dermal filler. Both treatments took less than 15 minutes.
There is no need for general anaesthetic for non-surgical nose reshaping. A simple topical anaesthetic cream is applied on and around the nose 15 to 30 minutes prior to the procedure to ensure you don't feel discomfort. You remain awake for the entire treatment while a small amount of dermal filler is gently injected into precise locations on the nose which control the contours and eventually the overall shape of your new-look nose.
One of the most favourable benefits is that it is quick to perform and there is no downtime afterwards. The results are immediate and there is no need for a dressing or drawn-out healing period after the procedure. Since the results are relatively temporary (6-12 months) you are able to make minor adjustments gradually and because there is no healing period, your face will always look natural.
Generally speaking if a person feels uncomfortable with the way their nose looks and wants some of the benefits of
rhinoplasty but doesn't wish to undergo surgery then the treatment may be a good option for them.
More specifically, if you feel that your nose:
You have a check-up after 2-3 weeks later and then you generally don't need to repeat the treatment for between 6-12 months. Whilst recovery time is minimal and the procedure itself is almost pain free, there is still a small degree of aftercare and necessary precautions. It is a good idea to avoid wearing heavy glasses or sunglasses for about two weeks after the treatment, as this could be painful and possibly hinder the results of the procedure. Otherwise there isn't any particular swelling or pain associated with the treatment and you should be able to return to work on the same day as the non-surgical rhinoplasty is performed.
The main limitation of the treatment is its lack of permanence. Whilst the results are instant they last between 6 to 12 months, whereas a traditional "Nose Job" would be permanent. But the side benefit of this is that as your face changes naturally with age you will be able to make alternative adjustments over time with this treatment easily and cheaply.
A typical cost of a non-surgical nose filler treatment is £450 but is dependent upon a medical assessment during a consultation with Dr Xavier.
